About us
It all started when Josie, our founder, was a child. She had an early affinity and passion for all animals - even the underappreciated and quirky ones like reptiles, amphibians, and hairless mammals. Her passion grew throughout her life, leading to a Bsc Animal Science degree from Cal Poly SLO, CA, and the question of how else she could provide and love for Earth's creatures?

This led to the inception of The Tail Collective LLC. She wanted to share the love and services that she has for those around us and their pets. With over 10 years of experience in the various aspects of the pet industry across several different species, her insight, combined with top industry advisors, keeps The Tail Collective prepared and knowledgeable for any needs you and your pet may have. Here at the Tail Collective, we understand that not every animal is the same, even among the same breed. Your pet is a one-of-a-kind individual and that’s why we make it our mission to provide personalized pet care and services factoring in each animal's unique physical, mental, and social needs.
